Students of Instructional Technology Postgraduate Program of UNY Visit to Seamolec

In order to know the implementation of science directly in the field, the students of the Instructional Technology postgraduate program paid a visit to several institutions related to the Studi program in Jakarta and Bandung on 24-25 September 2018 which were packaged in the form of Laboratory Studies. First day visited to SEAMOLEC which was received directly by the Deputy Director for Administration Drs. Yoni Utomo, M.Ed, Training Expert Timbul Pardede, and Marketing & Publication Division Manager Aline Almandha and several technical staff. While the second-day visited to UPT LIPI Bandung Information Technology Center. The group was led by the Head of the Instructional Technology Postgraduate Program of UNY Prof. Herman Dwi Surjono, Ph.D. consists of 37 class A and B students in 2017.

At Seamolec, students got Online Courses and Entrepreneurship material provided by local training experts. Seamolec is one of the 26 Centers under the aegis of the Southeast Asia Ministry of Education Organization (SEAMEO) which focuses on the field of Open and Distance Learning (ODL). In addition to the main programs in the form of various training, consultation, research and development, and information dissemination, SEAMOLEC is helping SEAMEO Member States to find alternative solutions to improve the quality of society through Open and Distance Learning (ODL). With this visit, it is hoped that Instructional Technology Postgraduate Program of UNY can collaborate with Seamolec to develop online learning and blended learning, which is currently the focus of study program development.
